European Industrial Insulation Foundation - EiiF is a Swiss-based non-profit organisation established in 2009. The EiiF’s core purpose is to promote industrial and technical insulation as a key means of delivering sustainability for industry. Crucial to this mission is to demonstrate the close link between sustainability and profitability i.e. insulation drives sustainability as well as profitability in terms of reduced emissions, reduced energy loss and reduced expenses for heating and/or cooling. It is an unbiased NGO, open to all parties trying to improve the situation regarding industrial insulation in Europe. This includes technical insulation material or service providers, as well as related engineering and plant designing companies which need or provide sustainable insulation systems. ==History== The organisation was founded by eleven insulation companies and the European contractors association FESI. Her offices are located in Gland, Switzerland, near Geneva. The other Founding Partners are; Armacell International GmbH, Bilfinger Berger Industrial Services Group, Cape plc, Pittsburgh Corning Europe (Foamglas), G+H Isolierung GmbH, Hertel Group, KAEFER Isoliertechnik GmbH & Co.KG, Kaimann GmbH, Rockwool Technical Insulation, Saint-Gobain Isover and Termisol Termica Srl. These manufacturers and contractors of industrial insulation came together to establish a platform that would improve communication about industrial insulation and its potential benefits for industry in Europe. It also provides a neutral platform for competitors to discuss common interests and exchange knowledge on a continuous basis.
